More than 40 entries for the “Âmes d'Œuvres” Craft Competition

The application period for the “Âmes d'Œuvres” craft competition, the Fondation Etrillard's first arts and crafts competition launched in May 2023, closed on 5 January. The results are very promising, with over 40 entries. The Bergère du débotté, an 18th-century chair attributed to Georges Jacob, inspired candidates from all walks of life, from France, Switzerland and England, alone or in groups, with skills ranging from cabinetmaking to the arts of fire, tapestry and leatherwork.

The jury set up by the Fondation Etrillard will study each entry until February 2024 to select 5 finalists, who will then create a 1/2 scale model of their Bergère.

The Foundation would like to congratulate each of the candidates who took part and wishes them every success in their craft and artistic projects.
