The Quatuor Elmire, winner of the Special Prize at the Concours de Genève

On Sunday 29 October, the Quatuor Elmire received the Fondation Etrillard Special Prize on the stage of the Victoria Hall in Geneva.

This prize is awarded to the finalist string quartet that presents the most outstanding personal artistic project in the pre-selection rounds of the Concours de Genève - International Music Competition. The Quartet proposed a highly successful cultural outreach programme for schoolchildren.

Le Quatuor Elmire also won the Second Prize at the Concours de Genève, thanks to its splendid performance of Beethoven's String Quartet No. 8 in E minor "Razumovsky" in the final, demonstrating "a constant ability to listen to each other [and] an assertiveness that is off the beaten track" (Crescendo Magazine).

Congratulations to the members of this quartet: David Petrlik (violin 1), Yoan Brakha (violin 2), Hortense Fourrier (viola) and Rémi Carlon (cello).
