Selection of finalists of the 2nd edition of Collection source d'inspiration
The Ecole Boulle and the Fondation Etrillard have selected 13 finalists for the second edition of Collection source d'inspiration.
Created in 2022 and taking place over two academic years, this educational programme invites students of arts and crafts at the École Boulle to create a contemporary piece inspired by a work belonging to the Fondation Etrillard.
Since the start of the 2024 academic year, 59 students from different backgrounds have been working on a pair of late 18th-century candelabra in lapis lazuli and finely chased gilt bronze. Guided by their teachers, they have produced an initial sketch of the work, accompanied by inspiration boards.
Congratulations to the 13 finalists selected by the jury in February 2025:
Liza Berthet-Ducrocq (Jewellery Workshop), Constance Texier (Surface Decoration and Treatment), Mathilde Coquet and Timothé Fernandes (Cabinet Making), Inès Beribeche (Modelled Engraving), Sarah Pacalet (Ornamental Engraving), Selma Arnould and Agathe Quissac (Marquetry), Lison Bourreau-Varrieras (Bronze mounts), Elisabeth Soubelet (Furniture restoration), Lise Veillith (Sculpture), Anaïs Gunia (Decorative tapestry) and Elisa Dakszewicz (Woodturning).
