The Fondation Etrillard at the 2025 Révélations Biennal
From 21 to 25 May 2025, the Fondation Etrillard took part in the Salon Révélations, an international biennial exhibition of arts and crafts, to showcase the works of its award-winning craftspeople alongside the pieces from its collection that inspired them.
It unveiled the winning piece of the Âmes d'Œuvres competition, Artémis, by chair maker Louis Monier, displayed for the first time alongside the Bergère du débotté. A unique work, combining traditional craftsmanship and innovation, all curves, pear wood and lacquered canvas.
The next generation of craftspeople was also in the spotlight, with Karl Ringelstein's animated marquetry painting, L'Echo du feuillage, designed as part of the ‘Collection source d'inspiration’ programme with the Ecole Boulle.
The president of the Fondation Etrillard congratulated the winners at a ceremony on Thursday 22 May under the glass roof of the Grand Palais.
The public, the press and partners turned out in force to discover these works that bring the past and present into dialogue, and to talk with the artisans and the Foundation. With 45,000 visitors, this exhibition was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate craftsmanship, transmission and contemporary creation.
