The Fondation Etrillard is delighted to announce its first partnership with the Ecole nationale des chartes – PSL, a bicentennial institution renowned for training archivists, researchers and curators in heritage, museums and libraries.
The two institutions have jointly created the ‘Fondation Etrillard Thesis Prize’ to reward the research work of a student on a theme dear to the Foundation, such as the rediscovery of little-known knowledge, the highlighting of a chapter in European history or the continuity between the arts of the past and the arts of the present.

The thesis consists of scientific research carried out by the student over the last three years of their paleography and archiving course. It is defended before a scientific jury and leads to the award of the diploma.
A call for applications was issued to students at the Ecole nationale des chartes – PSL between January and February 2025.
A jury composed of members of the Fondation Etrillard and the School will select several topics from among the theses submitted during the current year.
After review and decision by the jury, a winner will be awarded the Fondation Etrillard Thesis Prize, worth 8,000 euros, at a ceremony on June 25, 2025.
